piao and i wanted to go back to hc today to collect our a lvl certs but realised that it was youth day holiday and didn't go in case the office didn't open -___- so in the end, mao spent the entire day at home. i opened up my beloved photoshop and illustrator and decided to do some typography again wheee~ i heart phrases and quotes :D i seriously love watercolours and pastels! :)) the below para is kinda angsty so read it at your own discretion~ so mao bought a few balls of yarn the other day and got judged by mama and cow dam badly, mama's so mean lo, said mao anyhow spends money when it was like cheap and i'll use it someday? plus i really wanted to learn crochet so isn't it okay if i spend on some things which i will need first? and the colours are so nice :< then she kept telling me that scrapbooking and this kind of stuff (crochet, knitting etc) are like a waste of time, and that when uni starts i won't have the time to do any of these. and she kept repeating and repeating the story abt the hairdresser's son who's in nus pharm now mugging his head off. TSK, i guess it's abt time management? just feel kinda annoyed that mama's so against me doing the things i like during my free time -.- and always putting the 'no value added' tag on them. okay la maybe she's just worried abt me? but still, at least trust me that i know what i'm doing. she keeps telling me to either: 1. get a job and stop loafing around or 2. start preparing for uni (which i feel that is ABSURD). it's still the holidays now right? and i wanna enjoy doing the things i wan to do before uni starts. i definitely DO NOT WANT to be a hardcore mugger (my def of hardcore mugger: studying and studying, non-stop, without any break time, or those who would do absolutely anything just to get a perfect grade) for the 4 years of my life, i've kept it that way during the 2 yrs in hc, and i'm gonna do the same in nus. i still firmly believe that having a life > getting perfect grades, because honestly, what's the point of living if your life only revolves around grades? mama's such a money-faced person that it has been countless of times i've been pissed off because of the issue of 'money'. sometimes i just feel like i'm here in this world so that when she's old she has someone to rely on (for money). that feeling kinda sucks, so next time if mao has any kids, i will not be a money-faced mom, that's for sure. okay, end of angst. waiting for papa to come back with my dinner - PHAD THAIIII - ^~^ badly craving for it now manx if only mama was more like papa sometimes. ohya, mao thinks it's kinda funny that people (like bear and rasmine) are telling mao how much they dread the camp, or are scared that their socialising skills have fell to the pit bottom HAHAHA. which reminds me of how i was before camp, absolutely dreading it like goodness-knows-what, wishing that time will just stop, etc. and then, when camp was finally ending, though i wasn't like OH-HOW-I-WISH-IT-WOULDN'T-END, i'm still glad that i made a few friends here and there (like the nj girl and my sp), which i think is alr quite good for me :D hehe tmr, im going for rag orientation! kinda excited 'cos i just love designing stuff :D CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE END RESULT OF OUR PRETTY FLOAT!! :> then meeting square afterwards and going to udders for maoshanwang icecream as rec by my sp HAHA and dinner at carpenter & cook ^^ |
