HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

dunno why but this yr's cny feels very surreal - maybe it's the sudden realisation that christmas is over and a new year is starting (mao can't wait for this yr's xmas like any other year ^~^) this time's cny is rather confusing because it's the year of goat/sheep?? though eventually it doesn't matter which 'cos it works both ways in chinese :P 

mao has been leading the nua life since tue, when i woke up at 7 and decided to skip anat lecture at 8 'cos i'll prob be there for 30min of the lecture, managed to finish econs quiz for the week /yay/ but still has a gazillion number of things to do T^T recess week is coming and so are midterms :( quite worried for ppl's animal behaviour mod 'cos our idea of observing swans kinda got rejected cause swans are boring creatures which don't do much in the day?? sian and i think we'll prob end up doing red jungle fowls instead (your common chicken in the wild) with 90% chance but ppl really hate being/walking in tall grassy places when there're creepy crawlies and rubbish thingies flying about - MAO'S ONLY TRUE MAIN CONCERN against that idea, plus have to wake up at like 6, and changing buses to get to the area; ppl rather study pigeons in the botanic gardens? at least pigeons stay in short grass patches ...

i think i prob need to get started on work like tomolo? mao's cny is v no life one so like that (one reason why i prefer xmas > cny, cny marks the start of a (busybusy) new year (and things to do) while xmas marks the end of the year (nua life) and some happiness before the year starts again .-.
