ppl suddenly felt quite useless after trying to solve mama's toothache problem

at first ppl told mama with a bearable toothache to eat mefenamic acid and paracetamol tgt prescribed by the dentist but she took paracetamol first, then feeling slightly better decided to take mefenamic acid and like around half an hour later started having quite bad toothache :/

before that she kept asking mao whether it's okay to take both tgt and since ppl haven't studied NSAIDS or even common painkillers yet not v sure went to research more abt the drugs; no drug interactions then shld be fine???

then mama kept asking mao what to do now cos cannot really tolerate the pain anymore and how come painkillers are giving her more pain instead and ppl just like :/ erps... eventually searched for home remedies and asked her to do oil pulling which helped to relieve the pain abit

which made ppl think what ppl is studying now abit useless? (taking into account that what is studied now will be forgotten once the sem ends) it's like a pharm student not even knowing how the basic acetaminophen aka paracetamol works, plus shldn't we be studying the common drugs first (it's called basic pharmaco for a reason) instead of doing things like cholinergics and adrenergics :/ which I believe most are prescription only meds btw

oh well maybe there are other reasons why we're doing those stuff first, it'll get better hopefully
